Joy O’Day, a native of Arizona and has been in Real Estate for over 24 years. She received a B.A. from the University of Arizona and went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law at ASU. Ms. O’Day impressively graduated in just two years while earning the Pro Bono Highest Distinction Award. Ms. O’Day graduated with a Certificate in Law, Science & Technology with a specialization in Intellectual Property and a focus in Genetics. Her legal education and clinical specializations were in Health Law and Entrepreneurship. Ms. O’Day was one of few students mentored by the Executive Director, Gary Marchant Ph.D., JD.
Ms. O’Day had found her passion. She was buying and flipping real estate in college while learning about business development. She acquired hands-on restoration skills, learned how to be a successful landlord; both long term and vacation rentals, and mastered the crucial art of securing venture capital to expand her market. In her second year of college, Joy’s entrepreneurial spirit merged with her technological innovation when she founded her first of many software companies. She developed real estate related software using her unique algorithms to customize portfolios to maximize profits. She founded her next software company in 2003 where her keen business strategies and aggressive collaboration tactics led Ms. O’Day to found several other successful sports, health and real estate related companies.
Ms. O’Day derives her business ideas, sense of style, and taste from a broad and diverse range of sources. She has great zeal for designing and remodeling homes, SCUBA diving, traveling and is a classic car enthusiast. Her smile beams when she speaks about her 1957 Ford Thunderbird or rehabbing her 1962 Chevy C20. Today Ms. O’Day does private consulting but is happiest to be found welding, woodworking or building custom furniture in her Scottsdale workshop. Whether it is work or play, Ms. O’Day displays the determination, commitment, and energy for anything she endeavors.
